Gabriola Island "Grand Opening Sporting Clays, Saturday, September 13!

"Gabriola Island will be hosting its Grand Opening Sporting Clays shoot on Saturday, September 13, 2008.  This should be a terrific shoot as the group over there has worked hard to develop a first class facility.  If you want to go send webmaster an email with name, phone number, where you live and I will try to coordinate several of us going together to save costs.

There will be a total of 16 sporting clay stations to shoot, 14 stands in the timber, and one each in our pistol and rifle ranges.  Each station will have 2 traps throwing targets! The 5-Stand is up and running also, with two levels of difficulty.  Each level will have 8 traps, with a total of 16 traps!  The range will open at 9 a.m. for 5-Stand practice (catch the 8:15 ferry).  The morning Sporting Clays round will start at approximately 10 a.m. (The start will be delayed if necessary to allow shooters on the 9:25 ferry to register and get ready.)  There will be an afternoon round of Sporting Clays or you may shoot the 5-Stand until the range closes at 5:00 pm

A Gabriola Island Sporting Clays round is100 birds and will cost $25.00.  A 5-stand round is 25 birds and will cost $5.00.
